I have to say this is quite an interesting list of nominees. Jewel for Female Artist? Gretchen Wilson getting a music video nomination? Danny Gokey for New/Breakthrough artist over Steel Magnolia? Kellie Pickler getting nominations? Some of these nominees don’t make sense, to me, but it is what it is. I’m thinking Carrie Underwood’s fans will make sure she cleans up at this awards show, especially after how they feel about her snub at the CMA’s this year, but it should be interesting to see who wins the inaugural trophies.

The American Country Awards will air live from Las Vegas on December 6 on FOX.
