Lady Antebellum sold another 78,000 copies to remain atop the Country Albums chart and brings total sales for Need You Now to 1.56 million copies. Trailing Lady A is Zac Brown Band’s The Foundation at number two while Taylor Swift’s sophomore album, Fearless, climbs up to number three. Rounding out the top five is Blake Shelton’s Hillbilly Bone and Gary Allan’s Get Off On The Pain at four and five, respectively. Next week’s albums chart will include the debut of Alan Jackson’s new release, Freight Train, which will most likely give Lady A a run for its money.
Over on the singles chart, Carrie Underwood takes over the top spot and scores her ninth Billboard number one song with “Temporary Home.” Right on Carrie’s heels is Zac Brown Band’s “Highway 20 Ride” which jumps up two spots to number two. Last week’s number one song, Easton Corbin’s “A Little More Country Than That,” slips down to the number three spot while Lady Antebellum’s “American Honey” leapfrogs into the number four spot. Rounding out the top five singles is Keith Urban’s “‘Til Summer Comes Around.”
There are only two new songs to report this week. The title track of Gary Allan’s latest release, “Get Off on the Pain,” debuts at number 42 while Bucky Covington’s “A Father’s Love” comes in at number 57.
